Pedors 3P Diabetic Inserts : Description
Pedors 3P Diabetic Inserts
The use of state of the art materials and manufacturing techniques plays a considerable role in providing the ultimate tri-laminate prefabricated diabetic insert. The Pedors 3P Diabetic Insert is easily heat moldable to ensure total contact with the plantar surface of the foot and is extremely durable.
The bottom layer of the orthopedic shoes insert is 3/16 of an inch and consists of a 40 durometer EVA, a durable material that holds the shape of the diabetic insert while cradling the foot. This layer can be modified with a grinder to accommodate shoes with lesser depth.
The middle layer of the orthpodic insole is 1/16 of an inch and Poron®, a urethane foam that will not collapse while providing excellent cushioning.
The top layer of the 3P Diabetic Insert is 1/8 of an inch and is a polyethylene foam. Polyethylene will compress to take a "mold" of the foot distributing weight evenly throughout the sole of the foot. This layer is perhaps the most important because of direct contact with the foot and can be heated with an external heat source such as a heat gun or convection oven.
